Questions
What should I do to prepare for curbing installation?
We ask you to mark all known sprinkler heads, buried drainage lines, underground fence, lighting wires and any other items we should watch out for when preparing the ground. We also ask you to avoid watering the day before so the ground is solid and not too wet.
Can I mow and water after the curb is installed?
It is important to wait 24 hours before mowing or watering to ensure the sealer has fully cured. After 24 hours, be careful when trimming next to the curb for a few weeks until the concrete has fully cured.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check or card. Final payment is due the day of installation.
Will there be cable in my curb?
Absolutely! We only install curb with stainless steel cable embedded within it to prevent shifting over time.
How long does it take to cure?
Your curb will be firm to the touch the same day it is installed. It is best to keep pets and people off of the curb for 48 hours. The curb will be fully cured in about 3 weeks.
What is the long-term maintenance?
We recommend sealing the curb every 1-2 years to protect the surface finish and color. We use a sealer specific to colored concrete, so we encourage you to have a professional return to apply the sealer. We are happy to do this for a small fee. Also, regular watering of the grass next to the curb is important to keep the ground from cracking and shifting. This, in turn, helps prevent cracks in your curb.
